Unity of Effort
Unity of Effort is a National Incident Management System (NIMS) principle which encourages the coordination of activities among various organizational representatives to achieve common objectives. Unity of effort enables organizations with jurisdictional authority or functional responsibilities to support each other while allowing each participating agency to maintain its own authority and accountability.
Sharing Best Practices
Since 2015, BEPC member organizations have been collaborating and sharing best practices to improve our overall Preparedness, Response, Recovery, and Mitigation efforts around all types of disasters that may affect the Bronx community.
Mutual Support and Aid
BEPC members support one another during times of crisis and are readily available to help with disaster response needs, as well as program, policy, and plan development.
